Encouragement

Christ is Our Blessed Hope

“And so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17

God is accomplishing His will no matter what circumstances appear to be in our world today. We’re human, and see only what’s in front of us at the time. But, God knows the beginning, and the end. He’s omniscient!!

There’s no doubt in my mind, that we’re living in the End Times. God has clearly told us what to expect, and we’re seeing the prophetic play out right before our very eyes!

Many are wondering when Jesus will return, and my answer is, “Just make sure you’re ready when He appears in the clouds!” Jesus has told us His return is immanent and that we are to be prepared and ready when that trumpet sounds!

The Bible tells us about the times we’re living in, and about what is still to come. I’m confident that if we’ve been “Born Again” and we’re studying God’s word for ourselves, the Holy Spirit will be sure that we are ready when Jesus comes!

“Is anything to hard for the LORD?” Genesis 18:14

While things may increasingly look as if there’s no hope left, God encourages us to remind each other of the blessed hope we have in Christ Jesus. No matter how God allows His will to be accomplished, there’s no doubt, about the destiny of those who trust in Jesus as their Savior.

“For the LORD Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

God’s Word offers us the only true source of comfort, as we see that day quickly approaching. While we may suffer, we can do so knowing that all God has spoken in His word, will be fulfilled just as He has said. God will never leave us, nor forsake us! Nothing is to hard for Him! Nothing!

Be strong and courageous, and encourage one another with the Blessed Hope you’ve been given!

Malinda, I really like you mentioning that whenever the exact time is for Jesus to return, what we have to be concerned with is being ready for it. I so agree. Rather than concerning ourselves with when how etc, let’s focus on what we are to do while we are here. And one of those things is to encourage and remind each other that God is very much in control even when everything seems to feel crazy. And so we lay our worries at His feet and move forward in His peace and promises.
